Hi there! I'm Ali :) I'm a native English teacher who specializes in helping students become more comfortable & confident as they prepare to live, work, and travel abroad. I'm known for my obsession with idioms and love connecting with students over conversations about cultural differences, their passions, and dreams. I'm a graduate of Georgetown University (B.A. in Gender Studies) and have two master's degrees, one in American Studies and the other in in Education. In my free time, I'm a nerd for making Google Maps lists, listening to psychology podcasts, and doing yoga. In our classes, you can expect personalized plans from start to finish. From the articles we read, to the emoji-decorated lists and homework I give you, everything will be tailored to you & your interests. Bonus: I love nothing more than making lists of students tv show & movie recommendations for my students!

Meet my policies
Grab a package or a trial — then pick any open slot that works for you. You’ll get instant confirmation and a Google Meet link for our call. I need at least 24 hours’ notice, and you can book up to four weeks ahead.
Payment is handled securely by Stripe when you check out — I never see your card details. There’s a small fee on top of my price that covers card processing and the Meetmy platform. It’s added on top, so I always receive my full rate.
Every paid package is yours to use for 90 days from the day you buy it. Book your sessions whenever suits you inside that window — spread them out or stack them up. Anything free — a trial or a free offer — expires sooner, within a week, so claim it and book soon. Once the window’s up, any sessions you haven’t booked expire, so try not to leave them too long.
Plans change. Reschedule free up to 24 hours before a session — just grab another open slot, as often as you need. Inside 24 hours the slot’s locked in, since I’ve set that time aside for you.
Running late or can’t make it? Reschedule at least 24 hours ahead and we both keep the time. If you don’t show and haven’t rescheduled, the session counts as used — I’ll have held that slot just for you.
If I ever have to cancel, or something breaks on my end, I’ll make it right — a new slot. Otherwise purchases are final: your payment reserves my time for you.
